G1000 A/P issue - 2008 C206

Posted by Bryan Bogle on May 20, 2019 2:53 pm

Recently started have an autopilot issue (GFC700 equipped G1000 aircraft). The Autopilot issue is relatively new and the attached link shows a video that shows the AUX page and the servo status and then the second shows the same thing with a shot of the PFD showing the A/P alert and disconnect. The A/P disconnect normally happens in steady/level flight but has kicked off during the descent a couple of times.

The trim wheels seems really “tight” when the error occurs and seems to work just fine on the ground with no load on the trim tab. Any ideas for those support smart folks? From initial description given to my local avionics shop, they seem to think a bad pitch servo.

I promise the links are ransomeware... :0

Video #2 – shot with PFD as well.

I'd take it to that shop you mentioned and let them troubleshoot to confirm their suspicion.

That's the plan...though they are covered up with everyone scrambling to get their ADS-B installs completed.... :( It'll be at least a month to get it in....
