"ForeFlight for Beginners" with Mike Jesch, a Ventura County 99s Pilot Proficiency Class

Description
This class is for new ForeFlight users.  Potential ForeFlight users who are trying to decide whether to use an iPad or other tablet in the cockpit will also benefit from this class.

If you are new to ForeFlight Mobile or just want to start at the beginning, this class is for you. The objective of this class is to provide you with a foundation that will make it possible for you to take advantage of the many other more advanced ForeFlight classes being offered. Mike Jesch will start at the beginning and work his way through the steps that will provide you with insights into how to set up your mobile device so you can use it with confidence as you go deeper into the capabilities of this amazing tool. This class will cover:
  • Subscription options and download procedures
  • Overview and discussion of features
  • Basic flight planning
  • Aircraft set up, including performance and weight and balance calculations
  • Filing and activating VFR flight plans
